Wound Torso
- Description

The Wound Torso is an upper-body, multi-wound hemorrhage task trainer designed to support foundational training in the identification and management of life-threatening trauma.
Anatomically configured to replicate complex injuries to the neck, shoulder girdle, chest wall, and upper back, the trainer emphasizes junctional and difficult-to-treat hemorrhage commonly encountered in both military and civilian critical incidents.
- The semi-transparent option allows students to visually identify wound cavities and internal injury paths, making it ideal for less experienced responders and early-stage instruction. This increased visual feedback supports skill development, reinforces proper wound packing techniques, and accelerates understanding of injury mechanisms while maintaining anatomically relevant landmarks.
- The medium skin tone option eliminates visualization of underlying wound cavities, increasing training difficulty and realism. By requiring responders to rely on anatomical landmarks, wound presentation, and tactile feedback, this configuration better replicates real-world conditions. It is well-suited for advanced students, sustainment training, and scenario-based instruction.
Injury Profiles Simulated
- Penetrating neck trauma with carotid involvement
- Entry and exit penetrating trauma to the upper trap
- Upper trap laceration with subclavian involvement
- Penetrating chest injury
- Superficial chest laceration
- Shoulder avulsion injury
- Multiple non-descript soft tissue injuries
- Realistic Tissue Loss
- Realistic Tissue Density
- Blood simulant can be used with this product for added realism
