Wound Tube™
WOUND SIMULATION SERIES
WOUND TUBE™
Upper Arm Trauma Trainer. Anatomically Correct.
Built for Tourniquet, Packing, and Pressure Dressing.
Extremity hemorrhage control — tourniquet application, wound packing, and pressure dressing on an intact upper arm — demands a technique that's specific to the anatomy. The Brachial Artery runs close to the surface. The Humerus affects gauze placement. Bandaging angles matter. The Wound Tube™ was built around that anatomy, with a realistic Brachial Artery and an anatomically correct Humerus Bone integrated into the silicone, so students can train on something that responds like the real thing.
One bleed-capable XL gunshot wound. One upper arm trainer. The skills this device builds — tourniquet placement, wound packing around bone, and pressure dressing application — are among the most needed and least practiced in hemorrhage control training.
WHY ANATOMY MATTERS IN TRAINING
• Realistic Brachial Artery. The Brachial Artery's proximity to the wound site isn't incidental — it's the detail that makes upper arm hemorrhage dangerous and technique-dependent. The Wound Tube integrates a realistic artery, so students learn to pack around it correctly, not just fill the wound cavity.
• Anatomically correct Humerus Bone. Bone changes the geometry of everything — gauze placement, packing depth, bandaging angles. Training on a simulator without a bone teaches a technique that doesn't transfer to the real thing. The Wound Tube's integrated Humerus ensures that what students learn on the trainer works on a real patient.
• One bleed-capable XL wound. A single, large, high-fidelity gunshot wound with active bleed capability focuses the training. No distractions. No competing injuries. Just the one scenario that demands mastery: upper arm penetrating trauma with arterial proximity.
• Tourniquet application training platform. The Wound Tube's form factor is designed to support correct tourniquet placement mechanics. Note: tourniquets will not occlude the simulated injury — the trainer develops application technique and muscle memory, not occlusion confirmation.
CHOOSE YOUR TRAINING CONFIGURATION
• Semi-Transparent: Reveals internal structures — bleeding pathways, wound cavity depth, and tissue layers. Ideal for foundational instruction where students need to understand the origin of hemorrhage and the anatomy of deliberate wound packing before advancing to higher-stress scenarios.
• Medium Skin Tone: Eliminates visual cues and forces reliance on tactile assessment. Students must identify bleeding sources, wound depth, and packing needs by feel alone — replicating real-world conditions and reinforcing the muscle memory that saves lives when vision is compromised.
NOTE: The Wound Tube is designed to increase muscle memory for tourniquet training. The tourniquet will not occlude the simulated injury.
